One woman's ambition to conquer, and control. A woman by the name of Faylnn Tekkundi, a powerful woman who wanted to tip the scales of life in her favor. Dedicated and driven to that one goal, until she found herself in a strange situation. Her life's work was interrupted, delayed, and thrown off track by one single whore… Enter Freyr, unburdened by serious thought, chastity, and being boring. Faylnn and Freyr hit it off immediately much to the former's dismay, opposites attract what can you do? Freyr was a party animal and Faylnn was basically raised in a catholic school. From this encounter, Mira’kell was born. Mira’s first breath itself was luck incarnate. Mira was lucky to exist let alone be alive. Unfortunately for Mira, and for Freyr they had just thrown a wrench into the control apostles' plans. To her mother Mira was a mistake, an unaccounted for error, that needed to be rectified, and Faylnn was under this impression until one day she realized something. Faylnn saw the potential Mira had to bring this world to heel, that she was loved by fate and it answered to her, and so her manipulation began.  First? Keep Freyr out of Mira’s life. Faylnn needed to make sure that Mira would not be the free spirit her other parent was. So one day in the middle of the night. Mira was whisked away from her home of Redgarden at just a few months old. Brought to grow up in a city of order and the rule of law Khormartum. Second? Raise Mira as the perfect heir, this would be much harder. Manipulation however was something Faylnn was very good at. As long as Faylnn could keep Mira in check she could shape the young girl's mind like clay, into the perfect vessel of control.  ### Childhood Mira grew up a curious mind, she sought knowledge beyond her years, and found herself in her mothers library much to her mother’s dismay. Mira also had a sister Elizabeth who is 3 years Mira’s senior.  When they were younger the two girls were inseparable. Pillow forts, hide and seek, playing pretend were a daily occurrence. Elizabeth relished being an older sister, loved to teach Mira new games, and loved to read to her younger sister, but she loved their mother just a bit more. Elizabeth was such a dutiful daughter, always picked up after herself, always did her chores, loved their mother devotedly. Elizabeth did not love being blamed for Mira’s disobedience and rambunctious nature. Mira would break a toy and their mother would find Elizabeth holding the broken pieces, Mira would sneak into their library only for her mother to blame Elizabeth for not watching her properly. Over and over and over until Elizabeth grew to dislike her sister, then eventually their relationship met a breaking point. ### Teenager When the girls were in their teenage years they started to grow further and further apart, a fact that their mother exasperated by giving them completely opposite schedules. Elizabeth was to report to the guard barracks to learn the way of the sword, and Mira was sent to learn the ways of flesh with Mistress Klor the lead mentor at the “Undergarments” a fancy brothel catering to the most exclusive clientele. As the sisters progressed in their training Elizabeth met a young boy about her age, Sevrin, who was also training in the program, they started dating, Elizabeth brought him around the house, and unfortunately for her he was quickly smitten with Mira, and Mira was eager to test out her new found skills. A fight broke out, sister against sister, knives were drawn, tables were broken, glass was shattered, and Mira ran from the house she grew up in covered in tears, blood, and bruises. Mira ran and ran and ran, until she found herself in a part of town she didn't recognize. It was dimly lit and people were dancing drunk in the street. Mischievous as always, Mira saw easy marks. Dancing through the crowd Mira swiped coin purses, jewelry, family heirlooms, by the time she was done she was adorned in gold that matched her skin. Finally her eyes beset on a middle aged older man, one that seems an easy mark, until her hands were caught in his pockets as he fished them out.  The man later Mira found out his name was Omar, was impressed with Mira, able to weave in and out of this crowd, swipe all these goods and wasn't noticed until he noticed her? Omar saw her for who she really was, a skeleton key, the perfect infiltrator, and a perfect candidate for the occulurum. The prospect intrigued Faylnn… If Mira was brought up in this order it might teach her more discipline, on top of learning how to manipulate people Mira should also learn a structured way to defend herself. Faylnn agreed on the condition that Omar would be her personal tutor, and so Mira was brought under his wing.  ### Adult Mira flourished under Omar, she was skilled, but most importantly lucky. Any assignment given to her was completed either according to plan or Mira would stumble into a solution. As the Songbird of the Undercity, Mira could go out, explore. She could be herself, and she could let loose when her mother wasn't looking.  Unfortunately her relationship with Elizabeth had completely deteriorated, the girls didnt talk, and when they did, it broke out into fights. Ones that their mother would add fuel to the fire by telling Elizabeth things that fed on her insecurities. That she needed to improve her skills to match Mira’s. That she needed to keep up with her or she’d inherit their mothers fortune. Their mother, ever so skilled in manipulation, had sown a rift between the once close sisters.  Finally it had come time for Mira’s progress to be reported to the occulorum itself. For her final test to arrive. Will she succeed or will she succumb to her mothers machinations. For Mira this was just another job, but this was the start of her real test. She readied herself and set off on another job, one she herself was not sure she’d survive.
