Dubbed the “Fallen” by the Oracular Order, the Deities who rebelled against the creation of the Apostles are known to the world as the greatest villains of history. In 741 DE, as [[Vaka, Creator Goddess of Chaos† or Ignara, The First Flame† or Albariya, The Unbound Spark†|Vaka]] and [[Vyra, Creator Goddess of Order or Structa, The Silent Architect or Niẓām, The Law Unbroken|Vyra]] listened to [[The Oracular Order - the Original Apostles|The Oracular Order]]’s pleas to put a stop to the God’s petty squabbles that led to the destruction of their cities, many of the Gods were angered; despite creating them, the Gods argued that mortals were too “low,” too “small minded” to be worthy of the power of the Universe. Vaka and Vyra ultimately disagreed, citing that the Gods themselves seemed to be unworthy, as evidenced by how many of them used their power. Scorned, yet loyal, the dissenting Gods agreed to bide their time, believing the Oracular order and the newly created Apostles would destroy themselves.
As the years went on and the Oracular Order’s influence continued to expand, the Gods became more and more disdainful. Where they had used to use Valakadyn as their playground, fighting and gallivanting recklessly while caring little for the mortals that also called these lands their home, they were now stopped by the Apostles, who used their newfound power to protect mortal settlements and rebuke the Gods. Still, the Gods stayed their wrath - they dare not defy their mothers, their creators.
When the first cities began to emerge, many of the Gods saw what wonders mortalkind could create, what beautiful things their fleeting lives could manifest, and grew fonder of them. Many, known in the coming years as [[The Allegiant Gods|The Allegiant]], made these cities their homes and worked alongside the Oracular Order to bring about a new age of prosperity for the world. Magic and ingenuity met, and wonders expounded — lifespans tripled, disease was eradicated, wars were ended completely. Valakadyn itself seemed to grow more peaceful; the valkynquakes that shook the land ceased, the storms that raged across the plains quieted, the Aether became calm as it never had before. The world was thriving — but the Fallen were not. Feeling forced into isolation by their unwillingness to accept everything the mortals had created and refusal to embrace inevitable change, they spent these two-hundred years miserable. Many of them spent their days on Valakadyn’s smaller sister, the satellite created by their mother known as [[The Moons of Valakadyn#Hvitmár - The White Moon|Hvitmár]], watching the planet — their planet — grow and evolve without them.
